    Application fee

    The application fee is paid in connection with applying for a licence to a project or for a basic licence.

    * Includes application fee, usual inspection visits (2 inspection visits). And 3 follow up cases, which are divided as follows:

    1. Review of documents from the inspection visits.
    2. Case handling of the closure documentation.
    3. Review of the Material list.

    ** If a project contains more than one phase-project, each additional phase-project costs 2,000€ + VAT which includes one extra inspection visit (500€ + VAT) and case handling of follow up projects in connection with each phase-project (1,500€ + VAT).

    *** Application fee for a basic licence only covers the basic licence and not associated projects.

    **** Renewal fee is associated with a new generation of the criteria document.

    Annual licence fee

    Annual licence fee for a project must be paid when licence is granted. An account fee is to be paid based on submission of the expected project. When the project is completed, an adjustment of the account fee is made, if necessary, eg. if the project or plan has changed during the process.

    1. General settlement (annual licence fee per project):

    Annual licence fee is to be paid from the year in which the licence is granted, up to and including the year in which the project is completed, and the final phase-projects are handed over. The fee is paid on account for the entire period of the project when the licence is granted. A minimum fee of 2,000€ + VAT per year is paid from the time the licence is granted until the building is handed over.

    In those years where one og more phase-projects are handed over, 0.3% of the total technical value of the handovers is paid (max. 33,350€ + VAT). If the project is handed over in several phase-projects in different years, 0.3% (max. 33,350€ + VAT) is paid for each phase-project.

    The annual licence fee for a basic licence is 2,000€ + VAT per year and is invoiced annually.

    2. Alternative settlement (fixed annual licence fee):

    If a contractor or a developer continuously have more than two certified buildings per year it could be an economic advantage to enter into a strategic cooperation agreement with Ecolabelling Danmark.

    To use the Nordic Swan Ecolabel logo in Denmark an annual fee is paid within the actual calendar year. An annual start-up meeting where projects are planned for the coming year is held no later than December. At the beginning of each year (January) 66,700€ + VAT is invoiced regardless of how many buildings are handed over and/or started up.

    Furthermore, the application fee only have to be paid for each project including any additional fees.

    3. Additional fees:

    Any extra additional fees are only relevant in few cases. E.g., if Ecolabelling Danmark is to pay an inspection visit to a sub-contractor who delivers complete modules for buildings or parts of buildings.

    * Where audits requires more than one day away from the office including travelling, Nordic Ecolabelling can invoice an additional fee of 1,000€ per extra day. Other extraordinary costs induced by the audit can also be invoiced the applicant.

    ** As for an extension of or amendments to a licence, time consumed in connection with the review process will be invoiced according to the extent of the required task. We make a distinction between entirely administrative tasks that last less than 1 hour, and all other tasks that last between 1 and 4 hours, between 4 and 8 hours and more than 8 hours.
